**Job description:** *Experienced Medical Assistant* We are seeking a Medical Assistant with 2\+ years experience for our busy primary care and walk\-in clinic. Our clinic is in need of someone who is dependable, friendly, efficient, and self motivated to join our busy professional environment. Must be a team player, compassionate and patient focused. Must have a sense of urgency. Primary duties include but are not limited to: * Taking patients' vitals and health histories * Administering injections and breathing treatments * Perform medical lab testing and phlebotomy * Assisting providers with procedures * Communicating messages between patients/provider * Delegate and maintain clinic flow * Prior authorizations * Chart prep for next day \& anticipate patients' needs in clinic: EKG, labs, etc. * Follow up on: imaging or lab orders without results, referral notes, hospital records, etc * Specialists referrals * Ordering and stocking supplies/samples * EHR experience (Athena experience a plus) * Experience in primary care and/or urgent care setting * Help cover front office responsibilities * Other duties as required * Must have M\-F availabilty.
