**NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!** **Alden Village Health Facility for Children and Young Adults has immediate openings for our Direct Support Person course beginning soon. Once the 3\-week course is completed, you will become certified as a DSP and will work full time on our 2PM\-10pm shift or 10PM\-6AM shift.** JOB SUMMARY: * Under the general supervision of a nurse, the DSP in training provides residents with activities and services as directed, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. DSPs in training will not perform any duties for which they have not been trained and found to be proficient by an instructor. QUALIFICATIONS * Successful completion of a state\-approved DSP paid training program. * Must pass the DSP Competency Examination and be listed on the Healthcare Worker Registry within 120 days of date of hire (class provided at facility). * Be at least 16 years of age, of temperate habits and good moral character, honest, reliable, and trustworthy. * Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. * Must possess current CPR certificate or become certified within ...
