**SUMMARY:** Responsible for managing accounting functions and associated processes, procedures, and systems in accordance with Black Oak Casino Resort’s established procedures and controls. **Essential Responsibilities and Duties:** (including, but not limited to, the following) * Leads day\-to\-day operations of the Accounting department, including recurring processes and reporting obligations; drives continuous improvement of department protocols; and ensures a high standard of work. * Manages and directs the activities of assigned staff; coordinates, prioritizes, and assigns tasks and projects; tracks and reviews work progress and activities; directs the selection of staff; undertakes disciplinary action as required; conducts performance evaluations; ensures appropriate scheduling to provide proper operational coverage. * Performs or coordinates periodic reviews of departmental operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and other internal control procedures, and recommends corrective actions or process improvements when appropriate.
