Job Overview: Supervises Warehouse shipping and receiving activities and associates to ensure functions are performed within Company and Distribution Center guidelines. Provides excellent customer service to customers and associates through facilitating accurate handling of inbound and outbound products. Job Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities * Trains, supervises and provides direction to workforce of shipping/receiving associates. * Monitors and enforces work rules and policies. * Effectively communicates correct and compliant work processes to ensure associates development and improved worked performance, as needed. * Conducts safety observations (PIT, Lifting Techniques. etc.), audits and finished pallet breakdown audits. * Maintains daily production records, to include addressing performance gaps and indirect/gap time issues. * Understands and enforces workplace safety and food safety guidelines. * Conducts daily shift meetings to discuss safety, productivity and accuracy. * Effectively communicates with Transportation on the flow and receipt of backhauls. * Oversees scheduling of inbound load appointment process.
