***Safety \& Security International (SSI)*** *is looking for an* ***Business Development Manager*** *to support the acquisition of accelerated equipment and logistics solutions aimed at enhancing defense survivability. This role involves developing new customer accounts within an assigned territory and finding new sales opportunities while aligning products and contract solutions. Travel ability of up to 50% is required for this position. The role reports to the Managing Director of DoD Growth and Engagement and can be filled by either a local or remote candidate.* Duties: * Initiate communication with customers, vendors, and industry partners * Facilitate understanding and guide new customers on various contract vehicle requirements * Identify and suggest products and service solutions to meet customer requirements * Manage detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business and any customer or vendor relationship problems * Collaborate with territory teammates and internal departments to address customer needs * Negotiate pricing, payment, and delivery terms with vendors * Support territory teammates with building quotes as needed * Achieve annual s...
