Lorain County Public Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to serve as a Public Health Nurse in a school setting during the academic year. Under the direction of the School Nurse Supervisor, the RN will support student health and wellness while providing nursing services within the scope of professional nursing practice. **ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES** * Work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate the delivery of school health services to staff and students within a school district. * Collaborate with physicians, parents, and school staff to develop plans of care for students with chronic disease and special needs. * Ensure compliance with immunization requirements and reporting. * Perform required screening and referrals and assist families with services and resources. * Delegation and training of unlicensed school personnel. * Collect school health data to use for evaluation and planning.
