**Summary** ----------- The Texas Heart Institute at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a patient\-focused medical assistant (bilingual in English and Spanish preferred) to support the Cardiology clinic in Fannin Tower. The ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting patients with clinical questions, refill requests, and care coordination. **Job Duties** -------------- * Provide direct patient care by rooming patients following established protocols and performing EKGs * Provide clinical support for patient questions via MyChart and LiveAnswer telephone calls * Support clinical administrative duties such as order entry, scanning medical records, and prescription refills as authorized * May assist with insurance pre\-authorizations or issues. * Performs other job\-related duties as assigned. **Minimum Qualifications** -------------------------- * High school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant Training program through an accredited institution. * Two years of relevant experience. * Certification/Licenses/Registration Required: Current certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited professional organization (AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP, AMCA...
