Description: **Position Summary** The Area Medical Director is a practicing physician leader accountable for clinical quality, provider development and clinical performance, patient and client experience, and clinical\-operational effectiveness across multiple assigned clinics and designated clinical programs. In partnership with the Medical and Operations Leadership, the Area Medical Director promotes consistent, high\-quality, evidence\-based occupational medicine care; supports effective case progression and return\-to\-work outcomes; develops and supports providers; addresses complex and escalated clinical matters; and helps advance operational performance, client relationships, and sustainable clinic growth. As designated by the Chief Medical Officer, the role may lead or support enterprise\-wide clinical programs or specialty services that extend beyond the assigned geographic area. The Area Medical Director provides clinical leadership, mentoring, coaching, and functional guidance to physicians and advanced practice providers.
