Position Summary: NV5 is seeking a **Transportation Assistant Engineer** for our **Alpharetta, GA** office. The Transportation EIT will. provide engineering design, calculations, CAD support, and project assistance for the Transportation Design group Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will provide design support and be able to complete assigned projects on time and within budget. The most frequent and essential work activities include: * Complete roadway design plans under the direct supervision of a professional engineer. * Work alone and in small groups. * Use MicroStation and Inroads/OpenRoads software. * Assist engineers and designers in the development and production of engineering plans and specifications on a variety of transportation projects. * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with familiarity with Microsoft Products such as Excel and Outlook Requirements: * BS in Civil Engineering * 0\-3 years of previous roadway design or other transportation engineering experience * EIT Certification required * Knowledge of Microstation and Inroads/Openroads software a plus * Must be willing to travel on occasion * Must possess or be able to obtain a ...
