**About the role and team** Leading at Uber's Infrastructure organization means relentlessly raising the bar for reliability and availability, while designing a truly cloud native platform that seamlessly runs on multiple cloud providers. We are the Compute team at Uber, and are looking for a strong engineer to come shape the next version of our Compute platform. We own the foundational compute systems used by every product team at Uber \- from control plane services such as node health monitoring to leveraging the latest kernel features to deliver graceful degradation at high utilization. Our company mission is to make transportation as reliable as running water, and we need technical powerhouses to build the dependable, high\-performance foundation that supports that vision. This is a role for a proven, large\-scale systems thinker who thrives in high\-stakes environments.
