Overview: Carolina Poly, Inc. located in Chester, SC, is currently seeking a Safety and Environmental Specialist to join our team. Carolina Poly produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags and construction films. Responsibilities: * Coach employees on proper work methods and practices. * Conduct facility safety audits and work with management team to ensure completion of corrective actions. * Perform regular safety walks with the management team. * Advise on methods to minimize safety risks and provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace * Lead the accident investigation process. * Intervene in unsafe activities or operations. * Assist with LOTO reviews. * Liaise with supervisors to ensure incident reports are complete and accurate and submitted in a timely manner. * Attend employee safety talks. * Collaborate with managers and supervisors to monitor compliance and identify safety issues. * Assist departments with proper waste disposal practices. * Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machine operation.
