**Summary of Position** The Social Media intern produces content creation for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, collaborating with the newsroom and NewsdayTV. **Essential Duties \& Functions** * The Social Media intern produces content creation for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, collaborating with the newsroom and NewsdayTV. * Will be expected to help assist in the overall engagement and sourcing across all social platforms with an emphasis on growing our Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok pages * Assisting with social content creation (IG Stories, feed posts, Reels/TikToks/Shorts) * Lives and breathes social media and industry trends/able to adapt to the ever\-changing algorithms * Has video editing experience and can repackage NewsdayTV content with a social\-first, vertical strategy * Knowledge of Instagram feed post creation apps such as Canva, Adobe Express, etc. * Helps with optimizing videos for TikTok and YouTube with keyword research and platform search strategy * Community engagement with promoting content in Facebook groups, etc. **Essential Job Knowledge \& Skills** * Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or aspiring to have one; newsroom experience is a huge plus * Expert user ...
