About the Role We’re looking for a friendly, detail\-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. You’ll support our providers with day\-to\-day patient care, including rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with procedures, and handling referrals, while also playing a key role in our **DOT physical and occupational health services**. General Clinical Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: * Greet patients warmly, room them, take vital signs, and document chief complaints, medication lists, and allergies in the EHR (Athena) * Assist providers with exams, procedures, injections, and wound care * Collect and process lab specimens, and perform point\-of\-care testing such as UA, glucose, strep, flu, and COVID * Administer vaccines and medications as directed by the provider * Perform EKGs and other in\-office testing as needed * Handle referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription refill requests * Make patient follow\-up calls and relay provider instructions and test results as appropriate * Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and ready * Support the front desk with check\-in and scheduling when the clinic is busy * Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA, OSHA, and c...
