**General Purpose of Job:** To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning by providing extensive accounting support and direction to the business, finance and operations departments. The Special Projects Accountant is responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing financial data; preparing reports and performing key technical accounting tasks; and providing oversight to building bonds, long\-term facilities maintenance (LTFM), and other federal and state grants. **Responsibilities and tasks include:** Provide Strategic Leadership by: * Aligning function with mission and core values of the organization. * Developing and communicating shared vision for area of responsibility. * Planning and executing continuous improvement processes for area of responsibility. * Complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
