Description: **Reports to:** VP, Accounting Responsible for assisting the VP, Accounting in the management and execution of the Company’s accounting operations, financial close, and reporting activities. The Assistant Controller will directly oversee operational accounting, joint interest billing (JIB), and revenue accounting functions while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with Company policies and accounting standards. This role will serve as a key leader within the accounting organization and provide hands\-on support for accounting operations, process improvement initiatives, and staff development. **Responsibilities:** * Oversees day\-to\-day accounting operations including operational accounting, JIB, and revenue accounting * Assist monthly close processes including reconciliations, accruals, account analysis, and variance reviews * Assists in preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules * Ensures accounting records are maintained in accordance with GAAP, state and federal (ONRR) requirements and Company policies * Reviews accounting transactions and reconciliations for accuracy and compl...
