Overview: The **Patient Services Specialist** performs routine front\-end clinical operational activities, such as registering/checking in patients, cashiering, gathering and providing appropriate information, collecting co\-pays, and answering the phones under the direction of more senior Care Center staff. The incumbent will interact with patients, families, clinicians, administrative staff, and third\-party payers and provide customer service in a courteous and professional manner. Responsibilities: * Collect co\-pays, provide receipts, and provide timely accounting for all collected cash and payments. Identify discrepancies and immediately work with the supervisor to resolve issues. * Obtain required information for both registration and financial documentation needed to complete the check\-in process. * Answers phones, directs calls as needed, takes messages, returns calls to answer inquiries/questions, and provides accurate and timely follow\-up. * Schedule new and follow\-up patient appointments. * Maintain and update scheduling calendars. * Provide routine financial benefits. * Monitor Epic work que for tracking internal/external consults. * Maintain a general understanding...
