**The Role** **Freight Operations Coordinator** assists the Freight Operations Manager and Supervisor n coordinating crated and loose loaded military freight in the U.S. Domestic market utilizing established TMM best practices and following military guidelines. **What You’ll Do** * Utilize Utopia Shipment Management technology * Contact origin agent prior to pick up date to confirm agent booking schedules * Request and update Utopia with accurate weights dimensions for all crated shipments. * Request and organize line haul quotes from multiple brokers carriers. * Evaluate line haul quotes and choose the most compatible service provider. * Update Utopia with hauling information including quoted rates, warehouse pickup dates, and estimated transit time. * Confirm crated shipments are picking up and delivering as scheduled. * Contact destination agents and obtain earliest available offer dates. * Monitor shipments moving through Unigroup * Book and oversee third party motorcycle, car carrier, overflow, and package shipments. * Contact Origin and Destination agents to describe and schedule loose loaded freight trailer service. * Evaluate freight trailer quotes and award shipments when ...
