**Cyber Security Analyst** This is a fully remote position. **PURPOSE** This position is responsible for the initial response, alert classification, and escalation of security incidents for Ascend service consumers. Individuals will need to be able to execute those tasks in a timely, accurate, and recurring capacity. This role will be measured on the speed of incident assignment and triage along with more traditional metrics like timecards and quality of customer response. While client communication occurs infrequently compared to a service desk, the importance of a clear and quality response is significantly higher. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Perform initial response for all security incidents generated from managed services tooling * Accurately classify security incidents into MITRE categories * Quickly identify the difference between a true positive and false positive security alert. * Escalate tickets for scoping when incident indicates a significant compromise * Participate in additional managed service needs as requested * Update documentation on alert processes * Other Responsibilities as assigned by management **MINIMUM SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE** * Associate or bachelor...
