The Medical Assistant supports healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative duties to help ensure efficient patient care and smooth daily clinic operations. This position requires excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, and a professional and compassionate approach to patient care. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** **Dermatology Procedures** * Set up and assist with skin biopsies, shave removals, punch biopsies, excisions, and other minor surgical procedures. * Assist with cryotherapy, electrodessication and curettage (ED\&C), injections, and other dermatologic treatments. * Prepare procedure trays, instruments, medications, and supplies. * Assist with local anesthetic preparation and administration as permitted by training, office policy, and applicable regulations. * Perform wound care and dressing changes. * Remove sutures as directed by the provider. * Provide and review post\-procedure wound\-care instructions with patients. * Label, document, and prepare pathology specimens for proper processing. * Maintain appropriate specimen logs and ensure specimens are handled according to office protocol. **Clinical Responsibilities** * Take...
