Our full\-time leadership team includes five elected officials and twelve appointed department heads who lead more than 700 staff over 17 departments. This is an appointed position; the incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners pursuant to SDCL 7\-8\-20\. We are looking for a proven community leader who is passionate about creating organizational excellence in local government. The individual selected will serve as a strategic visionary with the enthusiasm and perseverance to navigate a complex landscape to ensure the Commission's policies, procedures, and programs are successfully implemented.
