**The Opportunity** **At Alpha Inc., purchasing isn’t about placing orders. It’s about keeping the operation moving.** When a machine is down, a crew is waiting, or a critical part is sitting on backorder somewhere across the country, we need someone who doesn’t simply send an email and wait. We need someone who **owns it.** Alpha Inc. is looking for a **Purchasing Agent** who is organized, relentless about follow\-through, sharp on the details, and wired with a genuine sense of urgency. You’ll source and purchase the parts, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, and specialty items that keep our equipment, maintenance, construction, and field operations running. This is not a transactional purchasing role. You’ll own purchasing requests **from initial request through successful delivery**—finding the right part, verifying the details, tracking the shipment, chasing the backorder, communicating the delay, finding Plan B when Plan A falls apart, and making sure the person who needs it actually gets it.
