**Job Responsibilities** ------------------------ Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Facilities Management, the Project Manager plans and oversees the design and construction of new buildings, demolition and renovation projects. Incumbent inspects the work of university contractors to ensure compliance with plans and regulations; prepares specifications for bid on contractual agreements; and coordinates the marking of campus underground utilities. **Project Management** * Participates in bid openings, evaluation of bid packages, contract negotiations and regularly scheduled construction site meetings. * Directs onsite construction work for assigned projects as project manager/owner’s representative, consulting with architects/engineers and construction crews to ensure full compliance with designs, plans, specifications, codes and other job\-specific requirements. * Prepares reports and meets with architects, engineers, contractors/subcontractors, campus users and other stakeholders from initial planning through project completion. * Works with contractors, architects, engineers and users to develop punch lists and conducts inspections to ensure punch list items are compl...
