Under the clinical direction of the Physician Lab Director, the Medical Technologist, and the Director of Nursing Services the Medical Assistant in the Laboratory obtains and processes specimens. The Medical Assistant is responsible for documenting all activities, monitoring supplies, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to safety and lab testing. **Reports to:** Direct \& Administrative: Clinic Administrator or designee Technical/Clinical: Physician Lab Director / Medical Technologist / Director of Nursing Services **Qualifications:** 1\. High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is preferred. 2\. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and possession of a current Medical Assistant (MA) certificate. The program must be a secondary or postsecondary Medical Assistant education program from a public school authorized by the Department of Education, or an approved Medical Assistant program at a postsecondary institution accredited or approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. 3\.
