Wimberley Medical Clinic is seeking a friendly and reliable Medical Assistant to join our team. Applicants must be passionate about our patients’ care and the community we proudly serve. **Essential Responsibilities Include:** Answering incoming calls Processing insurance referrals Scheduling appointments Providing timely follow\-up calls to patients regarding lab results or patient\-related questions. Obtaining and accurately documenting patient vital signs and weight, taking a brief history, past medical, family, and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information as appropriate. Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider. Performs sterilization of instruments. Follows documentation procedures and completes required paperwork related to patient visits. Maintains examination room and stock when necessary. Administer any medication/injection as ordered by provider and within your licensure/certification; Laboratory duties\-draw blood and collect and label specimens for any send\-out labs.
