Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sark Wire is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support the day\-to\-day purchasing needs of our manufacturing facility. This position will work directly within the Purchasing Department and report to the Purchasing Supervisor. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, supplies, spare parts, maintenance items, and other goods required to support plant operations. This is a hands\-on position that requires someone who is comfortable working directly with plant personnel, responding to urgent purchasing needs, and visiting local vendors and suppliers when necessary. **Duties and Responsibilities** · Process purchase requests and issue purchase orders for materials, supplies, equipment, spare parts, and services. · Source vendors, obtain and compare quotes, and assist with negotiating pricing, availability, and delivery terms. · Respond to plant purchasing needs and help locate materials or replacement parts needed to minimize production downtime. · Travel to Home Depot, local suppliers, equipment vendors, or other businesses as needed to purchase and pick up parts, maintenance items, tools, supplies, and othe...
