Posting Details The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) Budget Bureau plays a critical role in supporting the Department's mission to provide a safe, efficient transportation system while promoting economic development and protecting New Mexico's unique environment. The Budget Bureau is responsible for preparing the Department's annual budget request, submitting the operating budget, and managing the annual rollover process. The team ensures that all funds are utilized in accordance with authorized appropriations and provides essential financial oversight and guidance to every division and bureau within NMDOT. This includes managing NMDOT's $1\.3 billion annual operating budget, which spans four major programs: Project Design and Construction ($820 million), Highway Operations ($323 million), Business Support ($57 million), and MODAL ($109 million).
