Faculty orthodontists at the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine serve in and supports the Division of Orthodontics in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. The Division of Orthodontics is responsible for the education of dental students, pediatric dental residents, and other residents in the area of orthodontics. The orthodontist reports to the Division Director, Orthodontics for issues concerning pre\-doctoral education and to the Director, Pediatric Dental Residency Program for issues related to post\-doctoral education. The Division of Orthodontics works in close cooperation with the Offices of Educational Support, Clinical Affairs, and Dental Education and Informatics to support the School’s programs and initiatives. In addition, the division works closely with other Schools and Colleges of East Carolina University and other components of the University of North Carolina, as well as local/regional educational and clinical programs.
