**Description** POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT POSITION: Accounting Specialist\- Livestock Clerk DEPARTMENT: Accounting LOCATION: Ottumwa, Iowa SALARY CLASS: Salaried Non Exempt 1st shift QUALIFICATIONS: * Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbally. * Excellent computer skills required, including Excel. * High School degree or equivalent required. * Previous accounting/office experience preferred * Attention to details \& accuracy a must * Good attendance record (Less than 3 points, for internal candidates) RESPONSIBILITIES: * Daily and Weekly Balance of Hogs delivered * Auditing livestock tickets * Verifying daily and weekly payments to producers and carriers * Communication with livestock producers and carriers * Perform facility misc. livestock accounting functions * Crosstrain on roles within the accounting department * Meet departmental deadlines as required * Complete special projects as needed or requested * Full\-time, Saturday work as required * Perform various other tasks as needed to ensure efficiency in the accounting department Position is not eligible for sponsorship of external candidates.
