Wallace Montgomery is seeking an experienced Structures Engineer to join our Fairfax, VA or Richmond, VA team. In this role, you will be a part of a multi\-disciplinary team developing bridge and structural construction documents for transportation related projects in Virginia, with a focus on Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and other local municipalities. This role will also include functions like assisting with and/or leading bridge safety inspections and supporting specialized analysis of overweight vehicle permits. ***Essential Functions:*** * Prepare structure and bridge design calculations, plans, and estimates for bridge projects, including new designs, rehabilitations, and replacements. * Assist with and/or lead NBIS\-compliant Bridge Safety Inspections. * Perform specialized analyses of overweight truck permits to ensure extremely heavy vehicles can safely cross bridges and travel designated routes throughout Maryland. * Conduct and review structural modeling and analysis using MicroStation, OpenBridge, Brass, LARS Bridge, MDX, and LEAP products. * Collaborate with roadway, drainage, geotechnical, traffic, and environmental staff to deliver integrated project ...
