**The role** ============ AmSpec is seeking a hands\-on Assistant Controller to strengthen the quality and consistency of accounting across a global, multi\-entity business. This person will lead core close and control activities, work directly with regional finance teams, and help turn process improvements into repeatable monthly routines. The role is a senior accounting leadership position with ownership of deliverables, review, and follow\-through. **What you will own** ===================== * Lead the monthly and quarterly close for assigned entities and consolidated reporting workstreams. Set clear deadlines, review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, resolve aged items, and ensure timely, supported submissions from local and regional teams. * Establish a consistent close control framework across entities, including account ownership, reconciliation standards, review evidence, issue escalation, and a clear status view for the Group Controller. * Review complex accounting matters under US GAAP, including acquisitions and intercompany balances, fixed assets, leases, accruals, reserves, and other significant estimates.
