Take a peek at what our beautiful County has to offer – Indian River County **\*THIS POSITION IS EXEMPT FROM VETERAN'S PREFERENCE\*** Assists the SWDD Managing Director and performs work related to the daily operation of the County’s Solid Waste Disposal District, including supervision of staff. These duties include overseeing engineering and regulatory matters, as well as managing large capital projects from inception to completion. This is a professional position, working under the direction of the Managing Director \- SWDD. **Essential Job Duties** ------------------------ * Perform duties involved in the oversight, review, and/or preparation of the design of landfill maintenance projects, cell expansions, and other municipal waste projects in accordance with established standards. * Inspect and review work/invoices related to landfill construction projects and landfill operations and assist in the review and approval of all incoming invoices along with receipt of materials for payment. * Provide engineering support during the construction phase of projects.
