**Description** --------------- The Quartermaster will be responsible for inventory management and coordinates and participates in procuring, storing, distributing, and maintaining all equipment, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), medical supplies, and other materials necessary for operating and equipping functional areas within the Department of Fire Department. Work is performed under the supervision and direction of the Assistant Chief of Logistics. **Examples of Duties** ---------------------- ESSENTIAL TASKS include the following: other duties may be assigned. * Perform technical level logistical duties under general supervision * Establish and organize the departmental storage facilities and related areas to support the supply and logistics functions of the department * Assist in development of specifications for PPE, and various and fire/rescue supplies * Procure supplies and equipment in accordance with City/County purchasing policies and work with vendors to assure cost efficiency. * Manages inventory control systems; maintain records of receipts and disbursements, conduct inventories and inspections, receive and verify deliveries * Load/unload deliveries; may deliver to...
