**Job Summary** Manage and implement real estate tax appeal strategies to reduce the Company's real estate tax burden and risk. Manage real estate tax litigation across the country and manage outside counsel. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support and facilitate the real estate tax appeal process. Collect, analyze, and maintain assessment, valuation, and tax rate data for assigned jurisdictions and develop business cases for real estate tax appeals. Determine when appraisals are necessary using a cost/benefit analysis, engage third\-party appraisers, and evaluate appraisal reports and supporting documentation. Provide timely responses to litigation discovery requests, information requests, including tax estimates, projections, quarterly status updates, invoicing, and appeal results. Utilize and maintain the real estate tax appeal database and leverage technology solutions, including SAP and other enterprise systems, to analyze property tax data and support decision\-making.
