**Department** PHYSICAL MEDICINE and REHAB (IN\-PHMR\-IUINA) **Department Information** The Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMandR) has a strong history of achievement in medical research, education and patient care. PMandR, also known as physiatry, treats conditions involving the body's nervous and musculoskeletal systems that limit a person's ability to function. The teaching faculty in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation oversees the only PMandR residency program in the state of Indiana and are eager to uphold the mission of educating the country's next generation of physiatrists. **Job Summary** * Evaluates and treats patients referred for physical therapy services including proper and timely documentation * Provides services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease * Assists in updating and modifying procedures within in own working area * Examines patient's medical history, evaluates their physical abilities, determines their potential to respond to therapy, and develops treatment pl...
