**Definition** -------------- The City of Missouri City, known as the “Show Me City,” is seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented Staff Accountant to join its Finance team. This is a mid\-level, professional, full\-time position within the City's Financial Services Department. The Staff Accountant performs professional accounting work in support of the City’s financial operations and is responsible for processing financial transactions, conducting research and analysis, maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting the annual audit.
