**Job Title:** Accounting Manager **Reports To:** Chief Financial Officer **Directly Supervises:** Accounting and Payroll Staff **Position Summary** The Accounting Manager leads daily accounting operations and the financial close, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting. This role includes hands\-on preparation and review of accounting work, supervising the accounting and payroll staff, maintaining internal controls, and supporting manufacturing operations, the CFO, and other members of management. **Duties and Responsibilities** * Lead month\-end and year\-end close, maintain the close calendar, and prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. * Prepare or review bank and balance sheet reconciliations, reconcile subledgers to the general ledger, and resolve discrepancies promptly. * Oversee the accounts payable, billing, collections, and payroll functions, including supervising staff, reviewing their work, and providing coaching and cross\-training. * Analyze results and variances from budget and prior periods.
