This position independently manages complex inventory accounting activities and serves as a subject matter resource for inventory valuation, account reconciliations, financial close, reserves, pricing adjustments, inventory movements, and related financial reporting. The role is responsible for analyzing and recording inventory transactions, preparing and reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating variances and discrepancies, and ensuring appropriate accounting treatment for items such as book\-to\-perpetual adjustments, short\-dated inventory, excess and obsolete inventory reserves, blocked inventory, inventory in transit, floor stock adjustments, pricing changes, and return\-to\-vendor activity.
