**EC Policy and Monitoring Coordinator** **Reports to:** Executive Director of Exceptional Children **Purpose**: Serves as a Compliance Specialist for all areas of the Exceptional Children’s Department for the school system. Assists with areas related to compliance of local, state, and federal compliance of EC laws, policies, processes and procedures. Assists with the development and implementation of training for staff. ***Qualifications*** ***Minimum*** * Five (5\) years of teaching experience in an area of special education * Teaching licensure in Exceptional Children area * Knowledge and understanding of special education policies and procedures * Experience working directly with creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs ***Preferred*** * District experience in special education * Administrative license **Key Duties and Responsibilities:** * Planning, training, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive system for auditing special education records to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. * Examines programmatic issues within the district and works with the Executive Director of Exceptional Children on compliance areas/needs...
