Title: Engineer IV \- Tunnels Location: 10 South LaSalle Street, Chicago, IL 60603 Duties: Responsible for coordinating and executing geo\-structural design of underground excavations, including tunnels and shafts, for major infrastructure projects. Perform geo\-structural design for underground excavations including: evaluating geotechnical field and laboratory data; estimating soil and rock geotechnical design parameters; conducting engineering calculations and numerical modeling analyses; and designing temporary and permanent support systems for tunnels and shafts. Support the development of: geotechnical exploration programs; construction drawings; design reports and technical memoranda; and technical specifications for underground construction.
