Turner Staffing Group is recruiting a Geotechnical Engineer on behalf of our client, a mining operation near Elko, Nevada. This is a direct\-hire position with our client. **The Opportunity** This is a growth\-focused role for an early\- to mid\-career engineer who wants to build a career in mining geotechnical engineering. You'll evaluate soil, rock, groundwater, and geologic conditions to support the safe design, construction, and operation of mine workings and infrastructure, including pit slopes, underground excavations, tailings storage facilities, waste dumps, and haul roads. You'll work alongside experienced geotechnical staff and with mine planning, geology, operations, environmental, and civil engineering teams, with mentoring and training available as you develop. **Responsibilities*** Support geotechnical investigations, including drilling programs, rock and soil sampling, laboratory testing, and field mapping. * Analyze rock mass behavior, slope stability, ground support requirements, and soil mechanics. * Help develop geotechnical models for open\-pit and underground operations. * Run stability analyses and numerical models, including FLAC3D, under the guidance of seni...
