**Purpose of Job** This **casual** position is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities to assist providers and nursing personnel in a specialty clinic. Facilitates patient/physician/provider communication and coordination of care. **Job Functions** * Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMR. * Supports physicians in documentation of patient's visit by entering physician's dictation into the EMR system during the patient's visit. * Administers prescribed medications/vaccines and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification/licensure. * Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patients. * Performs room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day. * Performs specialty procedures/tests as directed by the Physician * Helps maintain stocked supplies and sterilizes instruments/exam room. * Assists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessary. * Provides patient education. * Performs other duties as assigned. **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities** * Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care * Ability to m...
