Serves as the subject matter expert for assigned categories of large or complex spend, custom requirements, or that support emerging or evolving programs or needs across or within the business units. Serves as a consultant to Category Managers, business units and Procurement Professionals in assigned categories on sourcing or contract development and formation. Writes the business deal and works with representatives of AEP legal, risk, safety, and other areas to secure AEP business interests. Possesses the skills to direct the work activities of the Procurement Professional or the Procurement Analyst.
