**Position Summary** The Metals Logistics / Traffic Coordinator Intern is responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing the movement of ferrous and non\-ferrous scrap materials, finished metal products, and related commodities. This position coordinates truck, rail, container, and broker activity to ensure material is moved safely, cost\-effectively, and on schedule while maintaining accurate shipment records. The coordinator serves as the primary liaison between traders, suppliers, transportation providers, yard operations, customers, and accounting to maximize freight efficiency, reduce transportation costs, and support commercial objectives. **Primary Responsibilities** * Logistics \& Transportation Management * Schedule inbound and outbound shipments of ferrous and non\-ferrous materials. * Coordinate truck, rail, container, and intermodal shipments. * Secure freight rates and transportation capacity from internal/external carriers and brokers. * Optimize freight routing to minimize transportation costs and transit times. * Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, service failures, or scheduling conflicts. * Maintain carrier performance metrics including on\-time d...
