**Location:** Lincoln, ND **Job Title:** City Engineer **Department:** Engineering **Status:** Exempt **Reports to:** City Administrator **Salary Grade:** 21 **Job Summary:** Under general direction of the City Administrator and with policies and directives established by the City Council. This position oversees major utility studies, serves as the responsible engineer for the design, preparation of plans and specifications, and construction of capital improvement projects; ensures compliance with engineering practices and standards; manages the technical performance and the administration of consultant contracts; coordinates technical recommendations related to policy issues and strategic planning; and supervises assigned personnel. **Essential Job Duties:** 1\. Works with elected officials, City staff, NDDOT staff and/or contracted engineers in planning, implementing, and completing City infrastructure projects to make sure City needs are met through the construction of said projects. 2\.
