Registered Nurse \- Step Down / Progressive Care Unit / Intermediate Care Job Summary Provides nursing care to patients whose acuity falls between intensive care and medical surgical, requiring frequent monitoring and assessment. Interprets cardiac rhythms, manages titrated medications and responds quickly to changes in condition. Coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team and educates patients and families. Education \& Experience * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: Required * Step\-down, progressive care, telemetry or acute care nursing experience: Required Licenses \& Certifications * Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice: Required * Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required Key Responsibilities * Perform comprehensive and frequent assessments of patients requiring close monitoring. * Interpret cardiac rhythms and intervene for arrhythmias or deterioration. * Administer medications and IV therapies, including titrated infusions, per physician orders. * Manage patients with cardiac, respiratory and other complex medical conditions. * Recognize changes in patient status and escalate to the provid...
