**JOB SUMMARY:** Under the direction of the City Manager, the City Engineer is responsible for providing highly skilled engineering services to the city on a wide variety of projects. This is a professional position requiring an individual who can exercise independent judgment and who possesses educational and relevant experience related to Civil Engineering principles. This position provides engineering services for all city departments primarily the Utilities and Public Works Departments; provides as needed technical assistance to Planning/Codes; and may interface with other City departments regarding engineering needs. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following.
