**Definition** -------------- Under general supervision, the Medical Support Assistant provides quality healthcare in a culturally sensitive, competent caring manner to empower our patients and help them attain their highest level of health. **This job class is treated as FLSA Non\-Exempt.** **Essential Functions**: Essential functions may vary among positions and may include the following tasks and other characteristics. Greets visitors and receives telephone calls regarding such things as procedures for obtaining medical assistance, directions, services available and requests for changes in scheduled appointments, etc. Maintains alertness to medical emergencies to ensure that such patients are seen without undue delays. 2\.
