**Job Overview** We, Sycamore Specialty Underwriters, LLC, are looking for a Finance Controller to join our Finance Team. As a Finance Controller you will be responsible for the day\-to\-day ownership of accounting the function, including monthly close, general ledger accuracy, financial reporting, carrier payable and premium trust accounting, internal controls, and accounting process improvement. **Responsibilities** * Own and manage the monthly close process, including close calendar, checklist discipline, recurring journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and timely financial reporting. * Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger across SSU and related entities/business units. * Oversee and review carrier payables, premium trust accounting, producer commissions payable, unapplied cash, and related reconciliations. * Ensure proper accounting and documentation for MGA/wholesale insurance activity, agency\-bill and direct\-bill commissions, policy fees, program fees, cancellations, return commissions, and carrier reporting. * Serve as a key accounting owner for NetSuite, including GL structure, journal entries, bank reconciliations, reporting, period close, user ...
