Our Endocrinology practice is seeking a dependable, compassionate Medical Assistant to help provide excellent care to patients with diabetes, thyroid conditions, and other hormonal disorders. The ideal candidate is organized, communicates clearly, and works well with patients and colleagues. Responsibilities * Welcome and room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document medical histories, medications, and allergies. * Prepare exam rooms, supplies, and equipment before patient visits. * Assist providers with examinations and office procedures within your training and authorized scope. * Help obtain blood glucose readings and download data from glucose meters, continuous glucose monitors, and insulin pumps as trained. * Coordinate laboratory orders, referrals, medical records, and follow\-up appointments as directed. * Assist with prior authorizations for medications, supplies, and devices. * Route patient messages and prescription refill requests to the appropriate provider. * Reinforce provider\-approved instructions and help patients understand next steps. * Maintain accurate electronic health records and protect patient confidentiality. * Clean and stock exam rooms and ...
